Our journey began in the historic town of Lecompton, Kansas, known as the birthplace of the Civil War. It was here that our distinctive Kansas City style barbeque sauce was created, a flavor we are now excited to bring to the heart of the Midwest.  

 Our story is as unique as our sauce. My husband and I met online, and it was truly a match made in heaven. When he moved from Lecompton, KS to Grandville, MI, so that we could be together, we quickly discovered that his seasoning and sauces were a hit with everyone who tried them. This over-whelming response inspired us to establish our brand Smoke’n Butts BBQ. 

 At Smoke’n Butts BBQ, our mission goes beyond just creating delicious sauces. We aim to provide opportunities to bring unity to families, neighbors, and communities around a table of smoking hot barbecue. Cooking and eating barbecue is one of our country's oldest traditions, a tradition that has always brought people together.
